    Can I come into the library?

    Yes. You may come in to browse for items and check them out. At this time we will continue to provide computer use at a first come first, served basis. When entering the library, please follow the self-screening procedures at the entrance. Please do not come to the library if you feel sick.

    Do I need to wear a mask?

    Following new CDC guidelines, as of Tuesday, May 18th the Governor Dan McKee has removed RI's mask mandate for fully vaccinated people. They state that individual who is two weeks past their last required COVID-19 vaccine dose no longer needs to wear a mask inside the building. Those who are not fully vaccinated will still need to wear a mask while indoors.

    Does my child need to wear a mask?

    Following state guidelines, anyone ages 2+ who is not fully vaccinated must continue to wear a mask indoors.

    Is there any open seating available in the library?

    Yes, individual chairs are available. We ask that you limit your time using this space in consideration of other library patrons needing to use the space as well. You are welcome to sit outside in our covered patio area or in your car in the parking lot and access our WiFi.

    Can I get a new library card?

    Yes, we will be able to issue new cards or renew cards online here. Please keep in mind that when applying or renewing you card online the process can take up to a week for staff to process the application and mail you your new card. Check out the getting a library card procedure on our website.

    Is printing and copying available?

    You can print and make copies. Please try to have exact change or bring small bills ($1 or $5) because the library is not always able to accommodate larger bills. The cost is 15¢ per page for black and white and 50¢ per page for color. 

    Are computers available?

    Yes, we will have a limited number of computers available at a first come, first served basis. In order to ensure physical distancing staff will only be able to provide limited computer help.

    Are there fines for overdue materials?

    Starting July 1st, fines will begin accruing for overdue materials.

    Is the Library accepting book donations?

    No, we are not accepting donations at this time.

    Can I return my items to the Library?

    Yes, all library materials must be returned in the outside bookdrop, which is always open 24/7. Please do not bring materials inside the building. Returns are still being quarantined for 24 hours before check-in, your items will remain checked out on your card until the quarantine period is over and we are able to check them in. Any fines incurred during this quarantine period will be waived.

    Is scanning available?

    Yes, scanning is available, but you must have a flash drive in order to use the scanner.

    Are faxing or notary services available?

    Yes, faxing is available to Continental US. We have a limit of 10 pages per fax, the fee is $1 per page. Notary services are available, please call 333-2422 ext. 13 to be sure our notary is available.

    Is the Program Room open?

    Not at this time.
