Cooks & Books
The theme for Cooks & Books for teens on December 7 at 6:00 PM is the holidays. Bring in your favorite feel-good book to share. We will be making Hot Chocolate Spoons for flavoring hot milk or as gifts if you like. An animated short film based on the Ziggy comic strip will be shown. We will also discuss future programs for teens at the Lincoln Public Library. Please register at Reference or call 333-2422, ext.17.
Join us at the Lincoln Public Library on Saturday, December 12 from 1:00-2:30 PM for an introductory program on Google SketchUp, a 3-D drawing software. Local student Adam Bohorquez will teach the basics. (This program does not involve actual 3-D production.) Attendees will be introduced to the preparatory software necessary for actual 3-D products. Could be of interest to people who want to make games or anything 3-D. Ages 12 & older only. Limited to 10 students. Please register at Reference or call 333-2422, x17.
The Fall Session of Book Buddies at the Lincoln Public Library will be held on Wednesdays from October 14 through December 9 from 4:00-5:00 PM. No programs on November 11 and 25 due to holidays. Each week Teen Readers aged 11-18 meet with L’il Book Buddies aged 3-8 for one-on-one reading, coloring and floor puzzles. No more than 2 L’il BBs per Teen Reader. This is a Teen program supervised by the Teen Librarian. As such, this is a great opportunity to fulfill those community service hours. Both groups should register at Reference or call 333-2422, ext. 17.
