The Lincoln Public Library is offering a Safe Sitter Program on Tuesday, April 21 from 9:15 AM–4:00 PM. This one-day program is designed for ages 11-14. Training will include babysitting as a business, childcare, behavior management skills, and infant & child CPR. Students should bring a lunch, drink, and snack. Preregistration is required. Class size is limited to eight (8) students. $45 fee is cash-only and expected at time of registration. No phone registrations or waiting lists.
Teens are invited to make sand candles at Lincoln Public Library during spring vacation on Wednesday, April 22. The program starts at 2:00 PM and should take an hour or so. We will be decorating glass votives on the outside with glitter or puffy paint. Then we will layer the sand and add the candle. Space is limited. Register at Reference or call 333-2422, ext. 17.
Teens, have you ever tried scrapbooking? You are invited to create a memory sheet using the arts of scrapbooking & collage at Lincoln Public Library on Tuesday, May 5 from 2:30-4:00 PM. A variety of scrapbook paper, stencils, and other items will be on hand. If you have any photos that you would like to use, please bring them with you. The Teen Anime Group meet on Mondays from 3:30-5:00 PM. The meetings include movie clips, drawing, and chat. Appropriate for ages 11-14.
The Winter session of Book Buddies at the Lincoln Public Library meet on Wednesdays from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The program will run on consecutive Wednesdays through April 15 except for February school vacation. Each week, Teen Readers aged 11-18 meet with L’il Book Buddies aged 3-8 years. This is a Young Adult/Teen program supervised by the Young Adult Librarian.
