Teen Advisory Committee

We are in the process of forming a new Teen Advisory Committee (TAC) at the Lincoln Public Library. Membership is open to all middle & high school students who are interested in being part of a voluntary group that would assist in various ways such as planning programs for teens, suggesting titles of books, CDs, & DVDs for purchase by the library, email help, serving as a liaison between the schools & library, & setting up a reading club. This is our third meeting. Subsequent meetings are scheduled on first Mondays of the month, June 2, @ 4-5 pm. Attendance will qualify for community service hours for school, etc. requirements. Project Linus

The Lincoln Public Library is working with the national organization called “Project Linus.” Anyone ages 12 and up who likes to knit is invited to come to the library on Monday afternoons at 1:30.

Some materials are available but it would be very helpful if you could provide your own yarn and knitting needles. We are also seeking donations of washable yarns suitable for baby afghans and various sizes of knitting needles to be used in creating these works of love for children in need.
